Creating AWS Relational Database Service (RDS)

Description

In this lab, you will walk through the steps of the creation and testing of an Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) database. We will create an RDS MySQL Database and test the connection using MySQL Workbench.

Lab Objectives

Upon completion of this lab, you will be able to:

•  Create a Security Group for RDS Instance
•  Create RDS Database Instance
•  Connecting to RDS Database on a DB Instance using the MySQL Workbench

Lab Prerequisites

1. First, you need to download Visual Studio C++ Redistributable - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vcredist?view=msvc-170

2. For testing this lab, you need to download the MySQL GUI Tool. To download it, navigate to this link - https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/. Select your operating system. Then, Download and Install.
