Indexes are specialized data structures that act like an optimized filing system for your tables in SQL Server. They significantly improve the speed of data retrieval by allowing the database engine to locate specific rows efficiently.

In this lab, you will be learning how to use Indexes in SQL Server.


Based on this Customer and Supplier Schema, generate the solutions to the respective queries listed below:

  1. Create an Index on Country in the Customer table.
  2. Add an Index on LastName in the Customer Table.
  3. Add a unique Index on Phone in the Customer Table.
  4. Add a Clustered index on LastName and FirstName in descending order.
