Description

An ORDER BY clause is used to arrange the table's data in ascending or descending order based on the given column or list of columns.

In this lab, you will learn how to use Order by Clause in SQL Server.


Based on this Customer and Supplier Schema, generate the solutions to the respective queries listed below:

  1. List all customers sorted by country.
  2. List all suppliers in alphabetical order.
  3. List all customers in Paris sorted by last name.
  4. List all suppliers in reverse alphabetical order.
  5. List all customers ordered by country, then by city within each country.
  6. List all suppliers in the USA, Japan, and Germany, ordered by city, then by company name in reverse order.
  7. List all orders, sorted by amount (largest first), within each year.
